 Memory Quilts -  Instead of hiding a pile of clothing and memorabilia away in a drawer, let me turn it into a stunning quilt to celebrate important events in your life or to fondly remember a loved one’s passing.  T-shirts, regular clothing, photographs, patches, school varsity letters, banners, and more can all be shown off in either a free form or grid layout.

I prefer to machine quilt around the designs of the shirts to highlight them rather than tie the quilts or do an all over quilting design.  The sashing or background areas can be filled in with a generic stipple designs or can be custom quilted, depending on the tastes of the customer.

Decorator Quilts can range in size from crib to queen.  I can coordinate either an original custom design or a published pattern to a customer supplied wall paper sample, picture, or layette item.  Complete a bed quilt’s look with matching shams.

My quilts are not mass produced and I don’t farm out the work  Each project is lovingly created to match your tastes—traditional or contemporary.  I use only 100% quilt shop quality cotton fabrics for the tops.  All quilts are bound with double fold bias binding and hand finished on the back.  A computer generated label documenting my information as the quilt maker and your information about the quilt (dedication, title, occasion) is also hand stitched on the back.  If appropriate, a hanging sleeve is attached in the binding at the top for ease of display.

Pricing and Deposit Information  - Quilt prices are quoted as a fixed labor charge based on the size and style of quilt desired.  The customer is responsible for the costs of all materials, supplies and postage if necessary.  There is an extra charge for photo transfers and embroidered blocks. 

A deposit holds your spot in my project line up.  The average waiting list time is about 1 year.  The deposit is fully refundable up until the time I begin working on the design of your project.  After that point, an hourly charge is applied to work already completed.  Contact me using the link below for specific pricing information and my next available project slot.
